A Great Circuit and Fantastic City: Toto Previews the Australian Grand Prix
The team is ready to head down under for the Australian Grand Prix. Toto looks forward to the week aheadā¦
With the first two races of the season completed, we now head to Melbourne. Whilst Bahrain and Saudi Arabia didnāt quite deliver what we expected, there is potential in the W15. We started off each weekend strong but couldnāt deliver on that initial promise.
The chasing pack is so close, which means you donāt have to be out by much to lose three or four places on the grid. It also means you donāt have to find much to move up three or four positions. Maximising the potential of the car each weekend is key. Australia gives us another chance to show what we can do.
Albert Park is a great circuit and Melbourne a fantastic city. Itās known for its love of sport and that is clear when it comes to F1. The fans are passionate, knowledgeable and always give us a warm Australian welcome.
Australian Grand Prix: Everything You Need To Know
The buzz driving into the track each day is tangible and I always enjoy meeting supporters, signing autographs, and taking photos on the āMelbourne Walkā each day.
The circuit itself is challenging; it can be bumpy and there are plenty of fast corners. It pushes the drivers and itās one they always enjoy.
As we had in Jeddah with F1 Academy and Formula 2, there is another exciting support schedule in Melbourne. The latter category joins us once again and we look forward to seeing how Kimi gets on.
As a motorsport fan myself, Iām also hoping to get a glimpse of the Australian Supercars Championship. The V8s make quite a noise and itās always a great fixture of the Albert Park weekend.
Weāre looking forward to the weekend ahead and will be working hard to bring home a good result.
